Dr. Lawrence Weaver grew up in northwest Indiana and graduated from Portage High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Indiana University and then graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1988. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Dental Corps. He spent two years with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, NC. During this time, Dr Weaver was assigned to the 22nd Marine Expedition Unit and spent six months at sea on the USS Saipan. While on the USS Saipan, Dr. Weaver participated in Operation Sharp Edge, a humanitarian mission to save the lives of many Liberian civilians caught in their country’s civil war. Upon return to the states, Dr. Weaver transferred to Kings Bay, Submarine Base located in St. Marys, Ga. Dr. Weaver spent his final three years of his naval career working at Kings Bay and living on Amelia Island in Florida. In 1993, Dr. Weaver married the love of his life, Gina Whitehurst and recently celebrated their 23rd year of marriage. Dr. Weaver and his wife Gina have been blessed with two amazing children, Matthew and Allison who have definitely kept them busy with their sports endeavors. Dr. Weaver began his private practice career by taking over Dr. Joseph Hughes’ dental practice in Tallahassee, FL. He has spent the last 22 years providing superior cosmetic and general dental services to his patients in Tallahassee.
